Andrew "The Shadow" Dirani
Style: Kickboxer
With having backgrounds in Wrestling, BJJ, Boxing, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai, Andrew brings 20+ years of experience to the table. Although he has trained in multiple aspects of MMA, he specializes in Kickboxing and Muay Thai.
In the early 2000's, he started his life long journey through the World of Martial Arts, more specifically in Kickboxing, and competed for the first time in 2007. From there, he excelled and competed Nationally for 10 years and is regarded as one of the top Elite Strikers in the Maritimes.
As a former 2-time 155lb Championship contender in Muay Thai, he is also a Gold medalist in Martial Arts, from which he won in Amherst, NS in 2015.
Andrew's final two competition bouts were during the Fall months of 2015 in Gatineau and Montreal as part of the Kickboxing TV Program "World Combat Arena(WCA): Aisudan".
Today, he has since retired from in-ring competition and is now our full-time Head Coach.
Taylor Davies
Style: Muay Thai Kickboxer
Taylor brings 20+ years of experience to our gym, with backgrounds in Muay Thai, TaeKwon Do, and MMA.
Having competed in all three, he holds Gold medals in TaeKwon Do, and specializes in Muay Thai.
He has a striking style that utilizes not only striking with his hands and feet, but also his knee, elbows, and the use of the clinch...which fits right at home here at ESMAA.
Mix all that with his solid ground game, and it causes a ton of problems for his opponents!
